Moderator: to : What was it like working with Gina and Vicky?
JenniferSky: Lots of laughs. Wer have a great time working together.
JenniferSky: The first day I remember just laughing hysterically -- and that actually did not stop the whole time I was in New Zealand working on the show.
JenniferSky: We have a really good time doing the show and I think it comes through.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : how would you describe Cleo relationship with Sarge and Hel? do they get along, fight what??
JenniferSky: They're best friends.
JenniferSky: They really -- I think Cleo really entertains Sarge and Hel.
JenniferSky: And they take care of each other.
JenniferSky: GA Moderator: to : Hi Jennifer. How does acting on Cleo differ from your acting roles on soap operas? In regards to filming schedules and the like? Is Cleo more demanding?
JenniferSky: Yes, yes, yes!
JenniferSky: Soaps are basically the 9-to-5 of the industry.
JenniferSky: More like 7-to-five but still.
JenniferSky: But doing Cleo was 5 in the morning till 8 at night.
JenniferSky: 14 hours of fun.
JenniferSky: (You can take that any way you want!)

Moderator: to : How do you feel about the requisite tight clothing and revealing atire you don each week..these shows portray women in a much more powerful way than most, but don't you ever get tired of that?
JenniferSky: The tight clothes are something you learn to live up to.
JenniferSky: Lots of working out -- which is good!
JenniferSky: Being a strong female character is all a female actress could hope for.

Moderator: to : How do you feel the role of Amarise was received by the public? And how is she similar or different from Cleo?
JenniferSky: I was really happy with how well all the fans responded to Amarise. She was a really fun character -- just the same way doing Cleo was a lot of fun.
JenniferSky: Very different characters!
JenniferSky: Amarise was a headstrong character and Cleo is an innocent in a lost world.
JenniferSky: I think Amarise could have shown Cleop a few tricks...
JenniferSky: and Cleo could have shown her some good hair tips!

Moderator: to : Did you get to hang out with Hudson Leick at all when you were filming Ides of March, or Fallen Angel??? Any chance she'll be on Cleopatra2525?
JenniferSky: Yes, I know Hudson. She's a wonderful person.
JenniferSky: I actually ran into her just the other day in Los Angeles...
JenniferSky: And ya never know what the future holds -- and WHO might be showing up on Cleo.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Did your role as Amarice on X:WP help to prepare you for the spot on Cleo? In particular, the action/fighting scenes.
JenniferSky: Absolutely.
JenniferSky: Working with Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor was a huge lesson in itself.
JenniferSky: I highly respect both those actresses and look upon them as mentors -- not unlike Amarise actually.
JenniferSky: Xena prepared me mentally for the challenge of pretend-killing on a daily basis.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Ms Sky, what kind of physical requirements do you find you have to meet to give a strong performance, considering the nature of the show?
JenniferSky: I try to be as fit as possible.
JenniferSky: There's really no such thing as a sick day in this industry and particvularly on this show.
JenniferSky: So I try to take as good care of myself as possible.
JenniferSky: It becomes very basic --
JenniferSky: Eat. Sleep. Work.
JenniferSky: GA

Moderator: to : This was asked of Gina yesterday, but what do YOU miss most about the states when you are in NZ for extended periods?
JenniferSky: I actually fell in love with New Zealand.
JenniferSky: I have lots of amazing friends and was so content while I was there.
JenniferSky: If there is anything I really missed it was my family and friends in the States.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : do you feel that amarice will be making any future appearances on X:WP
JenniferSky: Because of Cleo's schedule, I think that would be very difficult.
JenniferSky: As much as I love the character, I think that everybody will get their fill of me every week as Cleo.
JenniferSky: But once again -- you never know what the future will hold...
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Hi Jenn , looking over your bio , i see you've been in Sea Quest as well, so you knew Ted Raimi before actually appearing on X:WP ?
JenniferSky: I actually didn't work with Ted on Sea Quest.
JenniferSky: My scene was with Michael Delouise -- but I had watched the show and recognized Ted from it.

Moderator: to : RJ Stewart said in an interview that they are considering themes for seasons 3 and 4 of Cleo. Does the prospect of being in the long haul excite you?
JenniferSky: Absolutely!
JenniferSky: I would love to do this character for as long as they'll have me.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Do you think there are any limitations to the half-hour format?
JenniferSky: I think a half-hour is a great format.
JenniferSky: Basically it keeps the action at a constant level -- there are no di-s, and it leaves you wanting more for the next week.
JenniferSky: It's kind of a more direct story-line.
JenniferSky: GA
JenniferSky: (that's dips... not di-s...)
Moderator: to : I got a fan letter back from Vicky Pratt a month ago, she mention getting Clocked by a stunt man, what was your reaction to the insodent?
JenniferSky: She was kicked in the head but she wasn't knocled unconscious -- I was there.
JenniferSky: I was offset at the time and Vicky walked by me, very upset with people surrounding her.
JenniferSky: I said, "What happened?"
JenniferSky: Somebody told me, "Vicky got kicked in the head."
JenniferSky: She went to the hospital but it turned out she was fine.
JenniferSky: Just a bit of a sore jaw.
JenniferSky: On a show like this, accidents do happen. Unfortunately.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : On the TVGuide channel, I saw a Cleopatra 2525 quote similiar to this, '..as if a bare midriff serves any practical function..', does this mean scantly outfits aren't going to be part of your role in the future? Is your character being 'forced' to wear such clothing?
JenniferSky: Cleo is actually pointing out the fact that even five hundred years in the future, the world is still style-conscious -- and she likes that!
JenniferSky: Cleo always likes an excuse to show a little bit of tummy and to be a girl.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Does the Cleo character have any special powers on the show?
JenniferSky: The gift of gab, definitely -- and she'
JenniferSky: s an excellent mimic and an actress. JenniferSky: She often gets them out of sticky situations without the need for brawn.
JenniferSky: She can talk them out of stiuations instead of fighting.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : what actresses/actors would you say have influenced your career
JenniferSky: I definitely have to bow down to Lucy Lawless for her leadership and strength on set.
JenniferSky: And I really enjoy Ted Raimi as a commedian.
JenniferSky: Audrey Hepburn has been a huge influence on me as an actress -- and as a person.
JenniferSky: She just had such grace and style -- and compassion.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : What was it like working with Danielle Cormack, as both a villain on Cleo, and as your slain queen on Xena?
JenniferSky: Danielle is a really cool person.
JenniferSky: She fit right in with us crazy girls on Cleop and was having a blast right on with us.
JenniferSky: She has a really beautiful kid, is a great mom and just an over-all -- well, let's just say I really like her!

Moderator: to : Prior to Cleo and XWP, had you ever been a fan of sci-fi or fantasy?
JenniferSky: Absolutely!
JenniferSky: A huge fan -- beginning with Star Wars before I was even out of the womb.

JenniferSky: Most recently things like The Matrix and Galaxy Quest.
JenniferSky: The sky is the limit -- and I really enjoy the fact that in the future, there is no definitive "no."
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : On a typical day, how long does it take for you to do your hair, makeup, and costume?
JenniferSky: I'm lucky because I'm actually the fastest.
JenniferSky: My hair is actually 30 minutes, makeup 15 minutes and costume 15 minutes.
JenniferSky: It was double that on Xena.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : How did you first get started in an acting career? Did you ever study acting?
JenniferSky: Yes, before I moved to Los Angeles I lived in NYC for about a year and a half just to study professional acting.
JenniferSky: And I actually continue to study -- it's very important for an actor.
JenniferSky: I started actually as a model.
JenniferSky: Just to acclimate myself with an adult business and to prepare for acting.
JenniferSky: I started acting in community theater in my little town in Florida when I was 12.
JenniferSky: I always knew that I wanted to be an actor. Always.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Ms Sky, obviously your popularity has exploded, and I'd be surprised if you ever had trouble finding work... Where would you like to be in 15 years?
JenniferSky: I was in a movie theater the other day watching The Ciderhouse Rules -- which is a very good movie by the way --
JenniferSky: and I was very affected by one of the scenes.
JenniferSky: And I said to myself then: I just want to be an actor for the rest of my life, and make people happy and sad and more al;ive.
JenniferSky: I'd love to be doing movies in 15 years and directing and writing and produc ing.
JenniferSky: I wrote and produced and directed a small film while I was on hiatus in New Zealand.
JenniferSky: I'd love to see where that goes also.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: Can you tell us about it? The film...?
JenniferSky: It's not finished yet.
JenniferSky: It's still a work in progress.
JenniferSky: it will be about 8 minutes long.
JenniferSky: There are two different plots that mesh together or mingle while doing it.
JenniferSky: I'm hoping eventually to get it into some great film festivasl and promote all the people who worked on it with me.
JenniferSky: It was a really fun experience -- and with the beautiful scenery of NZ you can't miss.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Are there any influential directors you can name that helped you want to become a director?
JenniferSky: Absolutely Alfred Hitchcock.
JenniferSky: What he accomplished with the limited technology available in his day was just unbelievable.
JenniferSky: And such an amazing storyteller, that man.
JenniferSky: But I really admire anybody who can sit there and donate years and years of their l9ife to tell a story that comes from their heart.
JenniferSky: That in itself is a HUGE accomplishment.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: Gina mentioned Hitchcock yesterday.
Moderator: to : How did you land the Sarah Weber part in "General Hospital"?
JenniferSky: Doing General Hospital was a really wonderful experience.
JenniferSky: As I said before, it was as close to a nine-to-five job as an actor can get.
JenniferSky: But I still enjoy the wild and crazy and never-a-dull-moment moments we have on Cleop far and above.
JenniferSky: Sarah was really sweet -- but Cleo is definitely my favorite character.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: Wyndwalker99> to : Did you ever have any funny experiences talking with New Zealanders and them taking something you said the wrong way?
JenniferSky: Usually it was the other way around.
JenniferSky: I remember the first day on Xena, and Lucy and I had just finished a scene.
JenniferSky: Our first AD (assistant director) called "AT!" -- and all of a sudden all the grips and camermen
disappeared.
JenniferSky: And I was looking aorund in wonder, saying, "AT???"
JenniferSky: And Lucy said, "Afternoon tea."
JenniferSky: And I said, "Oh! Tea! Great! I love tea!"
JenniferSky: And Lucy said, "Well the tea is optional."
JenniferSky: Sea in New Zealand, "afternoon tea" is shorthand for a break around five PM.
JenniferSky: But I had been envisioning a high tea with little iced cakes and Earl Grey.
JenniferSky: A bit of a culture clash there.
JenniferSky: New Zealand is such a neat place.

Moderator: to : jenn: is cleo and for that matter jack of all trades , all filmed at the same studios as X:WP , must be getting awfully crowded at the studios *G*
JenniferSky: They actually have a series of warehouses that they own and film in along with -- I think it's a 100 acre outdoor park -- where they film a lot of Xena.
JenniferSky: Whereas Cleop is more of an indoor show.
JenniferSky: Basically we take turns.

Moderator: to : what do you think of the webpages about you and Cleopatra 2525 that are popping up
JenniferSky: Thjey're very exciting. I'm really happy before the show has even aired to see so much support -- and I'm sure that nobody will be disappointed.
JenniferSky: Plus it gives my mom an extra something to do every day which is exciting!
JenniferSky: She's always e-mailing me things to read from the web sites.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : Since there is little publicity for Cleopatra 2525 do you think it will become a hit as quickly as other USA shows?
JenniferSky: All we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best!
JenniferSky: We just really are excited about the show and hope that everybody feels the smae way.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: to : How do you see the relationships between Cleop, Hel, and Sarge as time goes on?
JenniferSky: I think staying togehter on a day to day basis as with all people and humans, there are occasional differences that come up.
JenniferSky: But these three women really do care about each other and their goal to reclaim the surface -- and they'll protect that beyond anything.
JenniferSky: GA
Moderator: Jennifer, several people have asked if you have a fanclub address?
JenniferSky: Not yet! Do you want to start one?

Moderator: to : jenn: do you actually have a place in NZ now that your doing a show as a "main" character, or you just renting *G* like the rest of us.
JenniferSky: I'm actually a renter just like you.
JenniferSky: Even though I'd love to own something in New Zealand eventually.
JenniferSky: And I also plan on buying a house in Florida some time within the next year.

JenniferSky: My faovirte on Xena was "Animal Attraction" That was really fun to do -- I love doing comedy.
JenniferSky: Doing the character of Cleopatra every week is challenging and a blast.
JenniferSky: Every time I get a script I just can't wait to see what's inside.
JenniferSky: I'm like a little kid opening a new toy.
